BioPersonality/Biography:
His nickname 'Genius' hasn't changed from his Junior High days. He garnered the same nickname in high school. After middle school, his father relocated to the United States, California in particular. As much as he hated to leave his friends behind, he found that it was easy to make new ones. Using his genius, he got accepted in to Lowell High School, located in San Francisco, a prestigious high school where students are accepted by testing into it. Early on, he was mistaken for a girl because of his feminine looks. He let his hair grow out past his shoulders to keep the illusion running. He didn't mind, it was amusing.
During his third year of high school, much to his surprise, he was confessed to by the one guy who Fuji also found attractive. It was hard to keep up the charade so finally, Fuji confessed that he was indeed a guy. Fuji was further surprised when the young man said that he didn't care and so they ended up dating for 8 months. The fairytale came to a screeching halt when he found out that the man he had been dating for the past 8 months was cheating on him, actually, he had been cheating almost from the day he confessed. Angry, Fuji broke it off, not to mention breaking a few other things (the guy's nose, arm and knee, and all by using a tennis ball + a racket). He fell into a state of depression for the rest of his high school career, since it had been the first time Fuji had ever taken someone seriously and allowed them into his heart. During this time, he picked up the bad habit of sleeping around with whoever made a pass at him as well as a bit of alcohol to help the depression. Afterwards, he would never see his one night stands again, never making a habit of seeing anyone more than once.
Despite his less than savory activities, his grades were still top notch and he was accepted into Harvard University, one of the top Ivy League schools in the nation. The summer before his first year of college, Fuji took a hard look at himself and realized that the man who had hurt him so deeply was nothing but an asshole who deserved to rot in hell. There was no need for Fuji to continue moping about him. Doing a complete overhaul into his habits, he cleaned up and by the time the Fall session started at Harvard, he was almost completely like his old self again, though he has taken to flirting quite a bit, a habit that dies hard. By the time his first two years of college were over, Fuji was already bored. His mind wandered back to his friends, wondering where they had gone, so, on impulse, he jetted off to Japan, asking where everyone went. Finding out they were attending Hajime University, Fuji wasted no time in applying. When he received his acceptance letter, he immediately withdrew from Harvard and settled iinto Hajime.
Fuji hasn't given up tennis either. He played on the high school team, though he hid his true talents, not wanting to play those who weren't worthy of his skill level. It was also his desire to play someone like Tezuka again that helped his decision in coming back to Japan.
